OS X Mavericks | Tutorial & FAQ

You can update your laptop to Mavericks on the App Store, but here's a few tips to have a 'safe install. NOTE: Before you install be sure to BACK UP your storage to prevent possible loss of files.

1. App Store > Updates > Install Mavericks OS
Your laptop will restart to download update.

SIDE NOTE: You should have at least 8 GB of free space for major updates. 15 GB is recommended.
If you find yourself with low storage space:

This tells you what your storage consists of to let you decide on any unwanted items you want to delete.
